MADISON – This evening, Governor Evers delivered his 7th State of the State address. State Senator Kristin Dassler-Alfheim (D-Appleton) released the following statement upon the conclusion of his speech:
“As the Governor outlined, there have been many successes in the past year on addressing unemployment and lowering the tax burden for Wisconsinites. That being said, there is more work to be done to address the widespread concerns that I hear coming out of the Fox Valley regarding the rising cost of living and the safety of our schools and communities.
“I’m hopeful that we can use some of these priorities and proposals to kickstart productive conversations with our colleagues across the aisle. The issues that Wisconsin is facing right now are not partisan issues – they affect Democrats and Republicans alike. Our solutions must reflect this. We must move forward together.”
