Madison- Senate Majority Leader Devin LeMahieu (R-Oostburg) issued the following statement regarding floor action today:

“Today’s Senate action will expand mental health and addiction treatment in the Chippewa Valley, remove barriers to telehealth, and ensure that women with heightened risk of breast cancer get the preventative care that they need.

“While Senate Democrats play political games, Senate Republicans continue to enact substantive policies that improve the lives of Wisconsin families.”

In addition to increasing access to affordable healthcare, the Senate approved proposals to improve public safety, ban cell phones during instructional time in schools, and ensure that parents have access to inspect public school curriculum.
