Taylor’s campaign demonstrates statewide grassroots support with contributions from all 72 counties
MADISON, Wis. – Judge Chris Taylor’s campaign for Wisconsin Supreme Court today announced raising $583,933 since launching her candidacy in May. Taylor will report receiving nearly 4,800 contributions, including donors from each of Wisconsin’s 72 counties.
“The overwhelming support for Judge Taylor early in this race shows how committed Wisconsinites are to reinforcing the majority on the court and electing a justice who will protect their rights and freedoms,” said Taylor Campaign Manager Ashley Franz. “Judge Taylor’s broad base of support reflects her commitment to serving all Wisconsinites and ensuring our courts remain fair and independent.”
Judge Taylor’s fundraising success builds on her growing coalition of support, including endorsements from current Wisconsin Supreme Court Chief Justice Jill Karofsky, Justices Rebecca Dallet and Janet Protasiewicz, Justice-elect Susan Crawford, and 100 current and former judges statewide.
With this announcement, the campaign set a new fundraising record for state Supreme Court candidates during this reporting period, exceeding the $460,000 raised by Justice-elect Crawford’s campaign at this point in 2024. Judge Taylor is a lifelong advocate for justice, fairness, and protecting the rights of all people. As a precious Circuit Court judge and now serving on the Wisconsin Court of Appeals since 2023, she brings a deep understanding of the law and a commitment to ensuring everyone gets a fair chance in our judicial system. Her judicial philosophy is people-centered, grounded in making sure individuals are heard, respected, and treated equally under the law while maintaining the independence of the judiciary.
She began her career in private law practice and served as the legal and policy director for Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin, where she defended constitutional rights and advocated for improved healthcare access. Throughout her career, she has been a champion for public safety and victims’ rights, working to improve protections for victims of sexual assault and domestic violence.
