KENOSHA, WI – Today, the Kenosha Professional Police Association Board of Directors formally endorsed Tom Tiffany for Governor of Wisconsin.

“Wisconsin needs strong leadership that respects the rule of law and stands firmly behind the men and women who wear the badge every day. Tom Tiffany is the right choice for governor, and together we will work to protect the safety and security of the people of Wisconsin,” said the Kenosha Professional Police Association Board of Directors.

“I’m honored to have the support of the Kenosha Professional Police Association. Our officers show up for Wisconsinites every single day, and as governor, I will make sure they have the tools, staffing, and support they deserve. A little over five years ago, Kenosha was left to burn while Democrat candidates currently running for governor poured fuel on the fire. That will never happen on my watch. I will support law enforcement, boost recruitment and retention, and make sure every community in Wisconsin is safe and secure,” said Tom Tiffany.

In August 2020, the presidents of four Wisconsin law enforcement organizations sent a letter to Tony Evers urging him and his administration to “discontinue and refrain from making statements and issuing press releases specific to the City of Kenosha Police involved shooting until the facts of the investigation are known.” The leaders warned that comments from Tony Evers and Mandela Barnes were “premature, judgmental, inflammatory, and only add to the anger and divisiveness of an already dangerous situation.” This came after Governor Evers and then-Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes made public statements that poured gasoline on the fire in Kenosha, emboldening violent rioters and further destabilizing the community.
