WAUSAU, WI – Tom Tiffany, candidate for governor of Wisconsin, released the following statement after The Capital Times revealed that over 200 Wisconsin educators were investigated for sexual misconduct and grooming behavior between 2018 and 2023, and the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction kept the information hidden from the public.

“It is outrageous that the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction — under the so-called ‘education governor’ Tony Evers and his accomplices Sara Rodriguez and Mandela Barnes — kept investigations of sexual misconduct and grooming by educators hidden from the public. Their leadership has failed our children at every turn. As governor, I will bring back transparency, accountability, and honesty so families know what’s happening in our schools. Parents should never be kept in the dark,” said Congressman Tom Tiffany.
