Washington, DC – Today, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced that Andrew Iverson would serve as USDA’s State Director for Rural Development in Wisconsin. Following the announcement, Congressman Bryan Steil (WI-01) issued the following statement:

“Andrew’s demonstrated record of hard work, dedication, and professional service makes him a great addition to the team at USDA,” said Steil. “After four years of burdensome regulations, I am confident that Andrew will serve as the advocate for the agricultural and rural development that Wisconsin families deserve.”

  • Today, Andrew Iverson was announced as USDA’s State Director for Rural Development in Wisconsin.
  • In 2019, Iverson served as a Special Assistant in Congressman Bryan Steil’s office in Janesville.
  • USDA Rural Development focuses on ways to “improve the economy and quality of life in rural communities” including offering loans and grants for economic development and essential services, supporting businesses and increasing local lending pools, improving local housing stock, and unleashing economic prosperity in rural America.
  • Iverson is a native of Janesville, Wisconsin, graduating from Joseph A Craig High School and Wisconsin Lutheran College. 
  • Iverson’s appointment follows last week’s announcement that Sandy Chalmers was appointed to serve as the Wisconsin State Executive Director for USDA.
