WASHINGTON – On Friday, U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) joined U.S. Senators James Lankford (R-Okla.) and Jim Banks (R-Ind.) in reintroducing the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act to codify protections for babies born alive from unsuccessful abortions. The bill requires providers to preserve the lives of infants who survive an abortion with the same care they would give to any other child born at the same gestational age.
