Hi, this is State Senator André Jacque from Northeast Wisconsin.

Each June, we celebrate something that’s close to the heart—and the table—of just about every Wisconsinite: Dairy Month. As the home of America’s Dairyland, Wisconsin doesn’t just produce dairy—we live it, take pride in it, and build communities around it.

Our state leads the nation in cheese production and is a top producer of milk, butter, and other dairy products enjoyed across the country and around the world. But what truly makes Wisconsin dairy great isn’t just the products—it’s the people. It’s the generations of farm families, the dedicated workers, the cheesemakers, the veterinarians, the truck drivers, and the small-town businesses that make up the dairy supply chain.

Dairy contributes over $53 billion annually to our state’s economy and supports over 120,000 jobs. But it also builds something even more lasting—tradition, stewardship, and resilience. Our dairy farmers are among the best environmental stewards in the country, using conservation practices that protect our land and water for future generations. It’s also no wonder that local June dairy breakfasts are an iconic part of Wisconsin culture. These family-friendly events remind us of the importance of our proud dairy heritage and connect us to the dedicated families that preserve it.

So this month, I invite you to see firsthand what makes Wisconsin dairy so special. Join me in supporting our dairy farmers by meeting your friends and neighbors at a June Dairy Month breakfast event near you. You’ll discover – in the most delicious way possible – how these hard-working family farmers contribute to the fabric that makes our home communities so unique.

So raise a glass of cold Wisconsin milk in honor of our hardworking dairy families.

Because when we support Wisconsin dairy, we support Wisconsin values.

This is Senator André Jacque—thank you, God Bless and happy June Dairy Month!
