While you were enjoying a beautiful Wisconsin summer, Governor Evers and Democrats were in Madison, flexing the new powers the liberal majority on the Wisconsin Supreme Court gave them.
What am I talking about? Administrative rules.
Agencies like the DNR and Department of Revenue write these rules, and they carry the full force of law. These bureaucrats are unelected individuals who work in the agencies.
Until recently, rules went through a legislative review process which allowed for public input. But the liberal court struck down that process—removing key checks and balances.
So, what does this mean? The governor and his bureaucrats are now totally unrestrained.
For example, they’re increasing animal market licenses from $420 to $7,430. Why? They’re erasing the words “mother” and “father.” Not okay.
Evers and the court have taken your voice away by removing your elected officials closest to your communities, handing unelected bureaucrats the final say on rules that affect your life.
