La Crosse — The Western Wisconsin AFL-CIO, which represents over 4,000 union members and numerous affiliated unions in the Coulee Region, has announced its endorsement and support of candidates for La Crosse Mayor, City Council and School Board for April’s Spring election. Additionally, listed below are endorsements for Black River Falls School Board, Holmen Village President, Onalaska School Board, Tomah School Board as well as recommendations for several area school referendums on the ballot in April.
Bill Brockmiller, Treasurer of the Western Wisconsin AFL-CIO, issued the following statement regarding the endorsements:
“After carefully studying the candidates’ records and statements, the Western Wisconsin AFL-CIO believes these candidates are the best choice for working families in the Coulee Region.”
“It is due to these candidates’ dedication to the issues and concerns of working people that we (WWAFLCIO) support them. The Council is pleased to award these endorsements and to offer our support and assistance to these allies of working families.”
