[Madison, Wisconsin] The Wisconsin Federation of College Republicans (WICRs) released the results of their 2026 gubernatorial straw poll, revealing a commanding lead for Congressman Tom Tiffany. With 76% of the votes, Tiffany emerged as the overwhelming favorite among students.
The poll, sent to chapters across the state, included other notable Republican figures. State Senator Patrick Testin and Assemblyman Bryan Steil each received 9% of the votes, while 5% were distributed towards potential candidates not on the poll.
“Our students have a clear favorite ahead of campaign season,” the Chair of the Wisconsin Federation of College Republicans, Nicholas Jacobs said in a statement following the poll. “It’s great to see people so involved without any candidates even officially running yet.”
