MADISON – With just a week until the pivotal Wisconsin Supreme Court election on Tuesday, April 1, voting is already in full swing. Thousands of Wisconsinites have cast their ballots by mail and early in-person absentee voting.
Wisconsin Conservation Voters IEC has invested more than $1.13 million to turn voters out in support of Judge Susan Crawford. With the balance of the State Supreme Court on the line, we are working tirelessly to ensure voters know what’s at stake. Like every statewide election in Wisconsin, this race is expected to be close.
Key efforts from our spring election program include:
- Knocking on nearly 140,000 doors across Wisconsin by Election Day.
- More than 480 volunteers sending more than 21,100 postcards to key voters statewide.
- A digital ad campaign featuring an interview with Tom Dawson, former Director of the Environmental Protection Unit at the Wisconsin Department of Justice, highlighting how former Attorney General Brad Schimel prioritized politics and polluters over the people of Wisconsin.
“The stakes in this election could not be higher,” said Deputy Director Seth Hoffmeister. “Judge Susan Crawford will defend our democracy and protect Wisconsin’s natural resources. She is a strong advocate for the values that make Wisconsin great – fairness, accountability, and a commitment to serving the people, not polluters. Judge Crawford will ensure that our State Supreme Court remains independent and dedicated to upholding the rights and freedoms of all Wisconsinites.”
