MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin Dairy Products Association (WDPA) proudly
congratulates Sarah Hagenow of Poynette on being named Wisconsin’s 78th Alice in
Dairyland.

“Alice in Dairyland plays a vital role in telling the story of Wisconsin agriculture, and
dairy is at the heart of that story,” said Amy Winters, Executive Director of WDPA. “With
deep roots in Wisconsin dairy and a global perspective on agriculture, Sarah brings the
experience and insight to connect with audiences across the state and beyond.”

Hagenow holds a degree in Agricultural and Food Business Management with a minor
in International Agriculture from the University of Minnesota. Her academic path, paired
with hands-on experience through internships with Viking Dairy and Heatherstone
Enterprises, reflects her strong connection to the dairy community. She also broadened
her global understanding of agriculture through a study abroad program in Denmark,
gaining first-hand insight into international farming systems and trade.

“Sarah’s international experience is especially valuable as Wisconsin continues to grow
its presence in global dairy markets,” Winters added. “She’s well equipped to represent
not just the heritage of Wisconsin dairy, but its future as a leader in dairy exports and
innovation.”

As Alice in Dairyland, Hagenow will serve as a statewide agricultural ambassador,
promoting Wisconsin’s diverse ag economy at events, in schools, and through media
outreach. WDPA looks forward to working with her to highlight the people, products, and
processors that make Wisconsin a dairy leader.

WDPA extends its warmest congratulations to Sarah and wishes her great success in
the year ahead.
