MADISON – On Thursday, May 15 at 9:45 a.m., Wisconsin Elections Commission Chair Ann Jacobs will canvass the results of the April 1 Spring Election.
The signing of the canvass statements is the last major step of Wisconsin’s certification process. Once the canvass statements are signed by the chair, the results of all state-level contests become the official, verified results.
The Spring Election has already been reviewed at the municipal and county level, and action by the WEC Chair is the final step to close out the results of the state-level contests.
Once ready, copies of the canvass paperwork will be posted on the WEC website here. The paperwork will include copies of the signed canvass statements and official result totals for the state-level contests.
“Though a Spring Election can sometimes feel a bit off the radar, this one had an exceptionally large turnout,” said WEC Administrator Meagan Wolfe. “And our clerks and poll workers across Wisconsin again rose to the challenge to carry out a fair, accurate, and transparent election for our citizens.”
