MADISON – Ag Day at the Capitol will be held Jan. 21 at the Monona Terrace in Madison. This event is the largest gathering of farmers from across the state, representing a variety of farm groups, to learn more about issues impacting Wisconsin agriculture and meet with their state legislators.
“Wisconsin Farm Bureau is proud to bring farmers together at the Capitol alongside our partners in agriculture,” said WFBF President Brad Olson. “There’s no better way to influence the future of agriculture than by meeting with legislators and sharing our stories firsthand.”
Registration will begin at 11:00 a.m. with the program starting at 11:30 a.m. Lunch will be served, followed by a keynote address, issue briefings and time for attendees to visit their legislators in the Capitol.
This year’s keynote speaker is Marcus Landry, a Milwaukee native and Vincent High School of Agricultural Sciences alum. After playing basketball for the University of Wisconsin-Madison Badgers and building a decade-long professional basketball career, Landry transitioned to sustainable farming and community leadership. In 2021, he and his wife, Efueko, founded Beulah Family Homestead, a 13-acre farm with an additional six rented acres. In just four years, they have championed agricultural education, food sustainability and community outreach to build a strong agricultural network. As impactful community leaders, they’ve also created programs addressing food insecurity and promoting STEM education.
It is important that attendees call the offices of their legislators in advance to schedule an appointment between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. for Wednesday, January 21.
Early registration is $35 and is now available. Registration increases to $60 after January 16 and at the door. Register for Ag Day at the Capitol by visiting bit.ly/2026AgDayAtTheCapitolRegistration.
