MADISON, Wis. — Today, Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Devin Remiker announced Hannah Mullen would be the new Executive Director. Mullen, who has been with the WisDems since 2017, most recently served as the Party’s Deputy Executive Director.
Upon making the announcement, Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Devin Remiker issued the following statement:
“One of the first people I got to work with when I first joined the party in 2018 was Hannah Mullen, whose wealth of knowledge, experience, and track record of success make her the best person to step into this role to lead our work and shared mission. She has been instrumental in building our state party, and I am ecstatic that she will be continuing that work in an even bigger role.
“Hannah has proved herself time and again. Whether it was her previous work as a temporary convention hire in 2017, helping lead our Save the Veto program that prevented Republicans gaining a supermajority, securing a liberal State Supreme Court majority, bringing us to the cusp of winning majorities in both state houses, and everything else she accomplished as our Deputy Executive Director, Hannah has given me all the confidence in the world as our next Executive Director.“We are incredibly grateful for Sarah’s leadership and commitment to growing our party, which she did with incredible results as our Executive Director, and before that, as our Deputy Executive Director. While it is hard to say goodbye to someone who set the stage for our future success, we are grateful that Sarah will continue to work with our party as a Senior Advisor.
“We have shown the country what a state party can do to help win elections up and down the ticket. Our year-round coordinated campaign, reinforced with organizing, messaging, and fundraising, is a political force that Sarah helped grow, and I know that Hannah will continue that work, help us win elections up and down the ballot, and give Wisconsinites the representation they deserve.”
