Democrat carries district for the first time in nearly a decade

(Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) — Tonight, Jeremiah Fredrickson was successfully elected in the race for Wisconsin Assembly District 92. Fredrickson, a farmer and former high school agricultural science teacher, defeated incumbent Republican Clint Moses for the seat. It’s the first time a Democrat has carried the district in nearly a decade. In response, 314 Action President Shaughnessy Naughton released the following statement:

“Congratulations to Jeremiah Fredrickson on flipping this seat and bringing rural Wisconsin’s voice to Madison. As a small business owner, Fredrickson understands the economic pressures facing farmers and working families in The Badger State. He has directly experienced the impact of Trump’s tariffs on his family’s fish farm, where costs have skyrocketed on shipping, packaging, and feed. His victory sends a clear message to Republicans in Madison who have turned their backs on rural communities––their time is up; Fredrickson is ready to get to work,” said 314 Action President Shaughnessy Naughton.

“After 16 years as an agricultural science teacher and coach, Jeremiah will bring valuable experience as an educator, farmer, and small business owner to the Assembly. He flipped the district back to blue for the first time in nearly a decade because he related to voters and offered clear solutions to rising costs. We are proud to celebrate this victory with Jeremiah tonight and look forward to working with him in Madison,” Naughton added.

Assembly Member-elect Fredrickson is a farmer and small business owner. He grew up in Amery, Wisconsin, and spent 16 years teaching high school agricultural science and coaching sports in Elk Mound, where he and his wife are raising their children. Together, they operate Jeremiah’s Bullfrog Fish Farm, a family business that supplies fish to 16 grocery stores and restaurants and five weekly farmers markets.
