MADISON, Wis. —Following a six-day run of daily gas price increases, GOP candidate for governor Tom Tiffany shrugged off the pain Wisconsinites feel at the pump, calling the widespread backlash to his party’s devastating high-cost agenda a “bit of a slump” rather than take responsibility for his record in Washington that has sent prices soaring. Gas prices across Wisconsin are already set to spike again, forcing Wisconsinites to quite literally pay the price for Tom Tiffany’s disastrous Washington agenda.
“Tom Tiffany is more concerned with how these gas prices affect his polling numbers than how they hurt the Wisconsinites who are literally paying the price for his cost-raising policies,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin spokesperson Emily Stuckey. “Tiffany is yet again putting his own personal gain ahead of working Wisconsinites, and his extreme and expensive agenda is going to cost him dearly at the polls.”
