MADISON, Wis. — On Thursday, MAGA Republican Congressman and gubernatorial candidate Tom Tiffany cast the deciding vote to allow Trump’s unpopular and costly war of choice in Iran to continue with no added oversight as Wisconsinites continue to feel the consequences.
Since Trump started this war in Iran, gas prices in Wisconsin have gone up nearly 40%, according to the Center for American Progress. In turn, rising gas prices have also pushed up the price of groceries, fertilizer, and more.
Despite this, Tiffany has repeatedly voted to continue the war, with Thursday’s vote just the latest in a long and twisted vote history.
“Wisconsin families are literally paying the price for Trump and Tiffany’s war that an overwhelming majority of Americans don’t support,” said Lucy Ripp, communications director at A Better Wisconsin Together. “Yet Tiffany is more interested in standing by the MAGA agenda than standing up for his constituents.”
