MADISON, Wis. — A recent campaign finance filing reveals Wisconsin’s richest person, MAGA billionaire Diane Hendricks, has doled out the maximum legal individual contribution to the campaign of Jim Croft. A Better Wisconsin Together spokesperson Mike Browne noted this is not the first time Croft has benefitted from ultra-wealthy patrons pushing an extremist agenda in pursuit of his political ambitions.

“Jim Croft snagging the legal maximum individual contribution from Wisconsin’s richest person shows just the latest example of the ultra-rich underwriting his political career,” commented Browne. “He’s been trained and now funded as a candidate by the ultra-wealthy and right-wing special interests. And there’s no reason to believe he’d be anything other than their lackey in the legislature.”

Croft is a 2023 graduate of the Leadership Program of the Rockies, a right-wing training academy funded by the likes of the Bradley Foundation and Donor’s Trust, a collaborative of wealthy right-wing funders. In a financial disclosure form he filed, Croft also reported his family received over $1,000 of income in 2025 from the program.

Campaign finance reports previously filed by his campaign show the stunning extent to which Croft is relying on the ultra-wealthy and special interests to fund his campaign. Over 81 percent of his campaign cash came from the billionaire-underwritten Committee to Elect a Republican Senate. A handful of wealthy individuals donating over $1,000 and right-wing legislators’ campaign committee contributions add another 14 percent, for a total of 95 percent of Croft’s reported fundraising take.
