The conservative Americans for Prosperity has released a new digital ad charging Crowley has one answer for Wisconsin’s problems: “raise your taxes.”
WisPolitics reported earlier this week new filings with the state Ethics Commission show the group had committed more than $2 million over the past week to its effort supporting Tiffany. That includes $1.5 million on digital ads, along with mail and canvassing.
The narrator in the new ad says as Milwaukee County exec, Crowley pushed for a sales tax hike and then supported a 400-year increase in property taxes. The narrator adds Crowley is now calling for new taxes on top of that before saying Tiffany has a plan to lower taxes and energy bills.
The narrator closes the spot, “Wisconsin can’t afford David Crowley’s tax hike.”

Since June 12, AFP has reported nearly $4 million backing Tiffany.
