Kimberly, WI — 5/1/2026 — Yesterday afternoon Kell Bales officially announced his candidacy for Wisconsin State Senate District 1, pledging to bring principled leadership, practical solutions, and a strong voice for the people of Northeast Wisconsin.
“I am running for State Senate because our communities deserve leadership that listens, works hard, and puts people before politics,” said Kell. “Senate District 1 is made up of hardworking families, small business owners, farmers, Veterans, educators, and community leaders who care deeply about Wisconsin’s future. I am ready to fight for policies that strengthen our local economy, protect our freedoms, support families, and preserve the values that make our communities strong!”
As a candidate for Wisconsin State Senate District 1, Kell will focus on issues that directly impact residents across the district, including economic opportunities, responsible & transparent government spending, public safety, education, workforce development, support for small businesses, family farms, and affordable housing – all greatly needed across the district and state.
“Our district needs a Senator who understands the challenges people are facing at the kitchen table, in the workplace, and on Main Street,” Kell added. “Whether it is rising costs, workforce shortages, concerns about education, or the need for stronger local infrastructure, I believe we can solve problems by listening first, working together, and putting Wisconsin families at the center of every decision.” This isn’t just talk, he reassures. Kell has led a life of servant leadership from Boy Scouts (earning the prestigious Eagle Scout award) to his 23+ years in the United States Air Force, to his recent role on the Kimberly School Board, to now serving as the Outagamie County Veterans Service Officer. A quick look at his resume will quickly demonstrate he has lived a life of service before self – still while balancing a healthy family-work-volunteering lifecycle.
Kell brings a very strong background in community leadership, entrepreneurship, small business ownership, public service, Military/Veteran advocacy, education, and a deep commitment to serving the people of Northeast Wisconsin.
