De Pere, Wis. – Katie Baney announced today that she has received the official endorsement of the National Rifle Association, making her the only candidate in Wisconsin’s First Senate District race to earn the organization’s endorsement.
The endorsement recognizes Baney’s long-standing commitment to defending the Second Amendment and her years of advocacy for constitutional freedoms at the national level.
“Protecting the Second Amendment isn’t a campaign promise for me, it’s work I’ve already done,” said Baney. “For years, I’ve stood alongside millions of law-abiding gun owners and fought to defend their constitutional rights at the highest levels. I’m honored to earn the NRA’s endorsement and will continue that fight in Madison.”
Unlike many candidates who first establish a Second Amendment record after taking office, Baney has spent her professional career advocating for firearm owners and constitutional freedoms on the national stage. Through that work, she has helped educate policymakers, engaged in public policy discussions, and defended the rights of responsible gun owners across the country.
The NRA Political Victory Fund evaluates candidates based on their demonstrated commitment to protecting the constitutional right to keep and bear arms. This official endorsement reflects a record of advocacy built long before seeking elected office.
“As your State Senator, I will always stand with Wisconsin’s hunters, sportsmen and women, recreational shooters, and every law-abiding citizen who exercises their constitutional rights,” Baney said. “I won’t compromise when it comes to defending the freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution.”
This endorsement further distinguishes Baney’s campaign as the only candidate in the race to receive the official backing of the NRA Political Victory Fund.
