This morning, Collective PAC—the nation’s largest political action committee dedicated to electing Black candidates and increasing political representation—endorsed Mandela Barnes for Governor of Wisconsin.

“Mandela Barnes is far and away the strongest candidate in this field to defeat Tom Tiffany, and our only shot at electing Wisconsin’s first Black Governor,” said Collective PAC Founder and President Quentin James“We know which candidates can win a primary and go the distance in November—and that’s Mandela Barnes. We were proud to support him in his previous races, including when he made history as Wisconsin’s first Black Lt. Governor and helped Tony Evers beat Scott Walker. He’s built for this moment, and is running a campaign to stand up to Donald Trump and lower costs for Wisconsin families.”

“I am deeply grateful for the support of Collective PAC. They are a true game-changer for this race—with the infrastructure, the reach, and the relationships to make sure every voter across this state hears our message, especially Black voters in every corner of Wisconsin,” said Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes. “As Governor, I’m going to fight to lower costs for Wisconsinites and protect our families from the chaos of the Trump administration. There’s no better partner than Collective PAC to help us get there, and I’m honored to have them in my corner.”

Collective PAC’s endorsement builds on a groundswell of support behind Mandela Barnes campaign. Lt. Governor Barnes—who has pledged to reject corporate PAC money—has also been endorsed by End Citizens UnitedUS Senator Adam SchiffUFCW Local 1473—the largest private sector union in Wisconsin—as well as dozens of mayors and other elected officials across the state.
