Eau Claire, WI — Today, 96th Assembly District State Representative (La Crosse and Vernon Counties), Tara Johnson endorsed Emily Berge for Congress in Wisconsin’s Third Congressional District.
“Emily is the only candidate with a proven record of standing up for her community against bullies like Donald Trump and Derrick Van Orden. Emily is an effective leader, delivering economic relief and stability to the people of Eau Claire. She is not beholden to billionaires, corporations, or D.C. insiders. As an experienced elected official, Emily works for the people of Western and Central Wisconsin every day,” said Rep. Johnson. “Folks in La Crosse and Vernon counties want a Member of Congress with integrity, whose only motivation is serving the people. We deserve a Representative who will protect community values in rural and urban Wisconsin. A Representative who will create economic opportunity for working class folks and take on big corporations and billionaires. We deserve a Representative who has delivered on campaign promises and will continue to do so. We deserve a Representative who fights for US, the people of Wisconsin’s Third. I am proud to endorse Emily Berge because she is that fighter.”
“Tara has been a selfless public servant in Western Wisconsin for over 25 years, her support means the world to me,” Emily Berge said. “Tara knows that folks throughout Wisconsin’s Third want a government that helps working class people and leaders with the experience to get it done. I have worked with people from all walks of life and viewpoints to deliver an Eau Claire that welcomes all, that has grown in population while increasing our housing affordability, that has brought in quality jobs, and I look forward to working with Tara and other local leaders like her to deliver a better life for everyone throughout Western and Central Wisconsin.”
