EAU CLAIRE, Wis. — Emily Berge for Congress is pleased to accept the endorsement of the WI-03 Indivisible Coalition in the Democratic primary for Wisconsin’s 3rd Congressional District, adding another local grassroots endorsement to a campaign built around the belief that this seat should belong to Western and Central Wisconsin, not Washington.
The coalition is made up of Indivisible chapters within Wisconsin’s 3rd Congressional District and includes local organizers working in communities across the region. Their endorsement follows a multi-stage process that included a candidate forum, meetings with Indivisible members, a candidate questionnaire, and a vote of active members.
“This endorsement means a lot because it comes from people who live here, organize here, and vote here,” said Emily Berge. “There is a clear difference in this race. My opponent can keep collecting support from Washington insiders and national political figures. I’m proud to earn the support of people organizing in La Crosse, Eau Claire, Monroe County, Grant County, and communities across the 3rd District. My endorsements vote here.”
Berge, a licensed counselor, small business owner, former Eau Claire City Council President, and longtime community advocate, is running on a message rooted in local trust, public service, and people over profits. Her campaign has argued that the Democratic nominee for Wisconsin’s 3rd Congressional District should be chosen by the people who live in Western and Central Wisconsin, not shaped by national money or Washington political influence.
The WI-03 Indivisible Coalition cited Berge’s record of fighting for vulnerable people, her values-based platform, her authenticity, and her commitment to standing up for residents of the 3rd District. The coalition supports candidates who will fight for public schools, health care access, voting rights, fair maps, meaningful campaign finance reform, equality, justice, compassion, and inclusion.
“This is exactly the kind of campaign we are building,” Berge said. “It is local. It is rooted here. And it is powered by people who understand what is at stake for our families, farms, schools, small businesses, and communities. To flip this seat, Democrats need a nominee who can inspire people across this district, earn trust in rural communities, and show up for voters without waiting for permission from Washington.”
The endorsement adds to growing grassroots momentum behind Berge’s campaign as voters across Western and Central Wisconsin look for a nominee with deep local roots, proven elected leadership, and the courage to fight for people who have too often been ignored by national politics.
“This race is about who gets to decide the future of Wisconsin’s 3rd Congressional District,” Berge said. “I believe that decision belongs to the people who live here.”
