Campaign will report $225,000 raised in Q2 of 2026, builds momentum with grassroots events across the First District and endorsements from elected officials
RAYMOND, Wis. – Today, ER nurse and Democratic candidate for Wisconsin’s First Congressional District Mitchell Berman announced that his campaign has raised over $650,000 to date from over 15,000 donors, with an average donation of just $33. Berman raised $225,000 in the latest quarter, with over $200,000 cash on hand.
Berman’s campaign continues to build real momentum, with dozens of events held across the district and thousands of doors knocked by organizers and volunteers. Berman was the first Democrat to launch an ad in the democratic primary, sharing his story as a working-class nurse while drawing contrast with Bryan Steil’s terrible record on healthcare. And in recent weeks, key local and national leaders have endorsed Berman:
- Congressman Pat Ryan
- Former WI-01 nominee Randy Bryce
- State Senator Mark Spreitzer
- State Representative Ben Desmidt
- State Representative Tip McGuire
- State Representative Ann Roe
- State Representative Chris Sinicki
A union nurse, Berman also has the support of local labor, including the United Auto Workers and American Federation of Teachers Local 212. A full list of endorsements is available on Berman’s campaign website.
