RAYMOND, Wis. – Today, on the heels of the US House’s bipartisan vote to extend ACA credits, ER nurse Mitchell Berman, slammed Congressman Bryan Steil for voting against it.
“As an ER nurse, I see every day what happens when people can’t afford the care they need. Bryan Steil wants Wisconsinites to believe that he’s working to bring down costs for working families but his actions tell a very different story,” said Berman. “Steil just voted against extending the ACA tax credits that would lower healthcare premiums, driving up costs for families across our state. Once again, he’s playing partisan politics and siding with his wealthy donors instead of the patients and families I take care of. By voting no, Bryan Steil made it perfectly clear that he’s determined to raise healthcare costs for all of us.”
Mitchell Berman is an emergency room nurse, union member, and first generation college student. He has worked in healthcare for more than 20 years and has spent the last decade caring for our veterans and their families as a nurse at the VA. He’s challenging current Republican incumbent Bryan Steil, a career politician and former corporate lawyer.
