Racine, WI — This morning, Fox News shifted its rating for Wisconsin’s First Congressional District from “Lean R” to “Toss-Up”, reflecting a massive wave of momentum behind ER nurse Mitchell Berman’s campaign to unseat corporate crony Bryan Steil.

“Wisconsin families are tired of Bryan Steil putting his corporate donors above the people of our district who are struggling to afford gas, groceries, and healthcare,” said Mitchell Berman. “In the ER, we don’t check party affiliation, or how much someone has donated, before caring for a patient. When people are hurting, we do everything we can to help. That’s what I’ll bring to Washington, and voters across our district are ready for real change.”
Berman is positioned to win what has become one of the country’s most competitive House races. A recent House Majority PAC poll showed Berman leading Steil by one point (48-47), following two other public polls that show the race within one point. Cook Political Report and Sabato’s Crystal Ball also recently shifted ratings toward Berman, and the race is on the DCCC’s priority “Red to Blue” list.
