Stockbridge, WI – June 4, 2026 – Barb Bittner, a lifelong Wisconsin resident, business owner, and proud dairy farm daughter, announced this week her candidacy for the Wisconsin State Senate in District 1.

“I am excited to announce that I am running for Wisconsin State Senate because I want to ensure our district continues to have a strong conservative leader in Madison that will be the voice for our families, businesses, farmers and our amazing way of life.”

Her priorities include:

  • Reducing property taxes and easing the financial burdens on Wisconsin families so they can keep more of what they earn and make decisions that are best for their households.
  • Protecting parental rights and restoring academic excellence in our schools, ensuring children gain the skills they need to thrive right here in Wisconsin.
  • Defending our constitutional freedoms, including the rights endowed by our Creator, and protecting cherished Wisconsin traditions like hunting, fishing, farming, faith, family, and community.
  • Supporting our heroes law enforcement officers, firefighters, first responders, and emergency personnel who risk their lives daily to keep us safe.
  • Defending life from conception to natural death while improving access to quality health care for mothers, children, veterans, seniors, and rural communities.

Bittner, who grew up on a dairy farm in Calumet County, emphasized her deep connection to Wisconsin values.

“I am running because I want future generations to have the same opportunities I had growing up on a dairy farm,” she said. “Wisconsin needs a fighter in Madison who understands our way of life, respects hard work, and will stand up for the people who feed, build, protect, and strengthen our communities every single day.”
