Following another shakeup in the Democratic Gubernatorial field, Brennan says voters deserve another opportunity to hear directly from the candidates

MILWAUKEE, WI – Joel Brennan today challenged the remaining candidates in the Democratic Gubernatorial primary to a final debate after yet another shakeup narrowed the field, saying voters deserve to hear directly from the candidates.

“This has been another week of chaos and uncertainty in this primary — and through it all, Wisconsin voters are still out there trying to make up their minds about who should lead this state. They deserve to hear directly from the candidates who are asking for their vote,” said Joel Brennan. “This election is and has been about the future of Wisconsin, and we should give voters an opportunity to hear directly from each of the final candidates about how we will lead. We all agree that we must beat Tom Tiffany, stop Donald Trump, and elect a Democratic legislature — but we have different approaches to those goals, and with stakes this high, the time to answer the tough questions is now.”

“The last stretch of campaigning is extremely busy, but nothing is more important than making ourselves available to the voters whose support we are asking for and who we hope to lead.”

Brennan will consider debate hosts from reputable media organizations that are able to livestream the debate for voters across the state to watch.
