The Brown County Taxpayers Association (BCTA) has elected Richard Heidel as the Association’s president. BCTA directors cast a unanimous ballot for Heidel at the group’s November 20, 2025 meeting. Heidel replaces Glen R. Schwalbach, who served as the Association’s president through 2023, 2024 and 2025.
Heidel, who serves as President of the Village of Hobart, commented: “In its storied history of almost 40 years, the BCTA has served as a watchdog on behalf of taxpayers and as a resource for decision-makers. Its roles as both an advocate and critic have only become more essential. I look forward to positioning the BCTA with even more influence in the formulation of sound governmental taxing and effective policy development at the local, state, and federal levels. We have a group of talented, experienced, and engaged members.”
