MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Former U.S. Ambassador and Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett today announced his endorsement of Dan Bukiewicz for the Wisconsin 21st Assembly District, calling him a proven leader committed to working families and the communities he serves.
“Dan Bukiewicz is a leader committed to helping working families and our community, and I am proud to support him,” said Ambassador Barrett. “I have seen firsthand what Dan brings to the table. He has spent decades fighting for working people across southeastern Wisconsin, and that commitment to the men and women who build and sustain our community is exactly what we need represented in Madison.”
“Dan and I share a deep connection to Milwaukee and a belief that strong communities are built by the people who live and work in them,” Barrett continued. “He has earned this moment through years of honest, dedicated public service and I encourage voters across Milwaukee, Oak Creek, and Greenfield to cast their ballot for Dan Bukiewicz in the August 11 primary.”
“I am deeply honored to have the support of Ambassador Tom Barrett,” said Bukiewicz. “Mayor Barrett spent decades fighting for Milwaukee and its residents and his endorsement is a tremendous honor. I look forward to carrying that same spirit of service and commitment to working families into the Wisconsin State Assembly.”
Tom Barrett joins U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin, U.S. Representative Gwen Moore, Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson, Assembly Democratic Leader Greta Neubauer, the Wisconsin AFL-CIO, and more than 50 state and local leaders and unions in endorsing Dan Bukiewicz for Wisconsin State Assembly District 21.
