MILWAUKEE, Wis. – State Senator Dora Drake (SD-04) today announced her endorsement of Dan Bukiewicz for the Wisconsin 21st Assembly District, calling him the right leader to make sure Milwaukee gets its fair share of resources in Madison.
“I am proud to endorse Dan Bukiewicz for the Wisconsin State Assembly,” said Senator Drake. “Milwaukee families are working harder than ever and they deserve a representative in Madison who will fight to make sure our communities get the economic opportunity we need to thrive. Dan Bukiewicz is that person.”
“Dan has spent his entire career on the side of working people,” Drake continued. “He knows what it means to sit across the bargaining table and fight for fair wages, good benefits, and real opportunities for working families. With costs rising and too many Wisconsinites struggling to make ends meet, we need someone in Madison who understands the everyday economic realities and the necessary policy changes to put more money in the pockets of working families . I have no doubt Dan will be that voice. I encourage every voter in the 21st Assembly District to cast their ballot for Dan Bukiewicz in the August 11 primary and in November.”
“I am deeply honored to have the endorsement of Senator Dora Drake,” said Bukiewicz. “Senator Drake has been a tireless advocate for Milwaukee and for working families across the 4th Senate District. Her support means a great deal to me and I am committed to working alongside her to make sure Milwaukee gets the resources and investment it deserves.”
Senator Drake joins U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin, U.S. Representative Gwen Moore, Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson, Assembly Democratic Leader Greta Neubauer, the Wisconsin AFL-CIO, and more than 50 state and local leaders and unions in endorsing Dan Bukiewicz for Wisconsin State Assembly District 21.
