Tomahawk, Wis. — Calvin Callahan has been re-elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly, winning the 35th
Assembly District on Tuesday night.
Callahan thanked voters across the Northwoods for renewing their trust and said the result affirms the
campaign’s focus on making life more affordable here at home.
“I’m grateful to the people of the Northwoods for trusting me to bring their voices to Madison,” Callahan said.
“This race was about affordability, lower taxes, lower utility bills, and lower health care costs. Families here
work hard, and they deserve a representative who has delivered and will keep fighting to keep more of their
money in their pocket. Tonight’s win is their win.”
Callahan pointed to the record voters rewarded:

  • Supporting the largest tax cut in state history, plus tax relief on utilities, overtime, and tips
  • Voting to end the sales tax on home heat and electricity
  • Cosponsoring Cole’s Act to rein in the middlemen who drive up prescription drug prices
  • Standing with local law enforcement and putting Northwoods communities first in Madison
Looking ahead, Callahan said he will keep affordability as his top priority, defending those tax and utility
wins, pushing to lower health care costs for working families, and making sure Madison decisions work for the
    Northwoods.
With Democrats winning a trifecta in Madison, Callahan said he will keep fighting for the Northwoods from
    the minority.
“With a Democrat trifecta, I’ll keep standing up for your home” Callahan said. “I’ll vote no on tax increases,
keep pushing to lower costs, and work across the aisle to do what’s right for the people of the Northwoods.”
“We ran on real results and a clear agenda,” Callahan said. “Lower taxes. Lower bills. Lower health care costs.
Showing up for this district. Thank you to every volunteer, donor, and voter who knocked doors, made calls,
and stood with us. I won’t let you down.”
