BAYFIELD, WI – Today, the Clark for Wisconsin campaign announced that common sense Democrat Fred Clark raised nearly $160,000 in the fourth quarter of 2025 in his bid to represent the residents of 26 Wisconsin counties that make up the 7th Congressional District.

Powered by a growing grassroots fundraising operation and scores of volunteers from across the Northwoods, Clark’s campaign entered 2026 with nearly $120,000 cash on hand.

“Every single day of this campaign I hear the frustration with a broken Congress that has abdicated its constitutional authority to serve as a check and balance on an executive branch that has broken faith with the American people,” says Clark, “Republicans, Democrats and independents alike have had it with politicians who aren’t doing a damn thing to lower costs for working families.”

Clark’s fundraising report, expected to be filed with the FEC tomorrow, clearly positions him as the most competitive Democrat to seek the 7th CD in a decade.

Historical Fundraising Perspective: Past WI-7 Democratic nominees

– the 2016 nominee raised just under $116,000 throughout the entire campaign

– the 2018 nominee raised just over $120,000 throughout the entire campaign

– the 2020 nominee raised less than $60,000 during the first reporting period ahead of the fall general election

– the 2022 nominee raised less than $5,000 throughout his entire campaign

– the 2024 nominee raised less than $10,000 in his first quarterly fundraising report

Meanwhile, Republicans are dealing with the fallout of Trump’s endorsement of a 25 year old who has never even voted in the 7th Congressional District ahead of a midterm election that legendary political operative James Carville has predicted will be a “wipeout” for the GOP.
