Doctors celebrate candidates committed to protecting and expanding health care access
MADISON — The Committee to Protect Health Care today announced its endorsement of David Crowley for Governor and its endorsements for the Wisconsin State Legislature. The designated candidates were selected because of their commitment to defending access to reproductive health care, making prescription drugs more affordable, and protecting and expanding health care coverage so everyone has the care they need to thrive.
“From lowering prescription drug costs to finally expanding BadgerCare in our state, we see many opportunities to work with the Legislature and next governor of Wisconsin to lead on health care,” said Dr. Ann Helms, a neurologist in Milwaukee. “As politicians in Washington continue to chip away at health care access, it’s more important than ever that we have leaders in Madison who prioritize accessibility and affordability. We look forward to working with these current and future legislators to make our state one where everyone can finally access quality, affordable health care.”
