Madison, WI – As a supporter of independent redistricting commissions, Common Cause urges legislators to take today’s special session to create an independent redistricting commission seriously.
“People are tired of political games at their expense, and partisan gerrymandering is at the top of that list,” said Bianca Shaw, Common Cause’s Wisconsin State Director. “If the legislature wants to play partisan games and gavel out today, they will be sending a clear message the legislature is unable to deliver the reforms people want most. We won’t stop pushing for independent redistricting in Wisconsin until we get it.”
