A new spot from the GOP-aligned Congressional Leadership Fund charges 3rd CD Dem candidate Rebecca Cooke “acts like a moderate” but is a “total phony.”
The 30-second spot is running in the La Crosse and Eau Claire media markets. The group has $3.2 million reserved in the western Wisconsin district between Aug. 11 and the election, according to AdImpact.
The ad goes on to say the “real” Cooke is a “political operative” who has made six figures electing “radical Democrats.” In the background are images of New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Dem U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, of New York.
The narrator continues to say Cooke is paid by the “George Soros dark money network” and supports “welfare benefits for illegals” and “amnesty for convicted child abusers.”
In her financial disclosure report Cooke reported fellowships from Third Way and the Pipeline Fund.
“Radical Rebecca is not somewhere in the middle; she’s just hoping you won’t find out,” the narrator says.
