Following Tuesday’s primary, Rebecca Cooke, the Democratic nominee in Wisconsin’s 3rd congressional district, will join Forward for Wisconsin Unity Tour rallies in La Crosse and Eau Claire.
Both rallies will also include Democratic Gubernatorial nominee David Crowley, Lieutenant Governor nominee Sarah Godlewski, and a range of other statewide and local candidates.
“I want to thank every single person who came out this week to make their voice heard,” said Rebecca Cooke. “I also want to thank my opponent, Emily Berge and her team who worked to build deep relationships across this district and bring people together around a common goal – to restore pragmatic leadership to Wisconsin’s 3rd Congressional District and defeat Derrick Van Orden. She has a bright future.
“I am calling on anyone who is tired of their healthcare being too damn expensive, frustrated by the war in Iran and how much gas is today and pissed off by the politicians like Derrick Van Orden lining their pockets with special interest dollars.
We have a place for you here. Whether you voted for Trump, whether you voted for Emily Berge, whether you voted for Derrick Van Orden in the past – our tent is big. Our tent is squarely focused on lowering costs, combatting corruption, supporting small business, bolstering agriculture and building an American Dream we can actually grasp.”
