MILWAUKEE, Wis. – County Executive David Crowley, Candidate for Governor, issued the following statement in response to today’s appeals court decision overturning a ruling that had restored the collective bargaining rights eliminated by Wisconsin Act 10.

“Today’s appeals court decision was not unexpected, but it is another reminder that working families in Wisconsin have spent far too long waiting for justice since their rights were ripped away through the passage of Act 10. 

“Wisconsin teachers, nurses, sanitation workers, and public servants deserve the right to collectively bargain for fair pay, safe workplaces, and a voice on the job. We must continue fighting to restore collective bargaining rights for every public employee in every corner of our state. 

“While the legal battle is far from over, our responsibility is clear moving forward. As governor, I will repeal Act 10 in full and finally restore the protections that working families have been denied for far too long. That is how we build a Wisconsin where every worker is respected, every family has the opportunity to thrive, and everyone has a seat at the table.”
