In David Crowley’s first TV ad of his general election campaign, the Dem gubernatorial candidate vows to “hold data centers accountable and make them pay.”

The spot comes on the heels of GOP rival Tom Tiffany starting a spot labeling the Milwaukee County executive “Data Center David” and charging he won’t roll back data center incentives because his campaign is funded by the people building them.

In the new Crowley ad, the Dem nominee says he’s running “to be governor for all of us.” The spot plays a clip from a newscast saying Crowley has emphasized “what he calls practical, bipartisan solutions,” and Crowley adds he’s “gotten things done, balancing the budget while delivering the largest property tax cut in our history.”

Crowley adds that progress isn’t enough with costs shooting up, so his vision includes holding data centers accountable, expanding BadgerCare, lowering costs and more jobs.

He closes the spot, “Wisconsin, let’s get to work.”
