Dem David Crowley has launched a new TV ad that charges his GOP gubernatorial rival Tom Tiffany is “for sale.”
The 30-second spot opens with video of President Donald Trump saying, “I pledge” as the narrator says Tiffany swore loyalty to Trump. The narrator adds that includes voting with the president “100% of the time, driving up the cost of gas, groceries — everything.”
The narrator then says Tiffany voted to cut healthcare so billionaires could get a massive tax cut. The narrator adds those “same billionaire MAGA donors are bankrolling Tiffany, giving him $24 million.”
The latest round of campaign finance reports show the state GOP transferred $24.2 million to Tiffany’s campaign after it received $27.6 million from billionaires Diane Hendricks, Dick Uihlein and Liz Uihlein.
The narrator closes the spot, “And Tiffany? He said he’ll cut their income tax to zero. It’s true. Wisconsin’s not for sale. But Tom Tiffany is, and it’ll cost you.”
