MADISON, Wis. — The Dairy Business Association, Wisconsin’s leading dairy advocacy group, endorses Ellen Schutt for Wisconsin’s 11th Senate District in the upcoming election.

As a former member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, Schutt has been a strong advocate for agriculture. During her time in the Legislature, she supported measures that advanced Wisconsin agriculture and successfully authored legislation that gave farmers a greater voice on county land conservation committees. Today, she continues her commitment to the agricultural community as executive director of the Wisconsin FFA Foundation, leading fundraising efforts that support more than 28,000 Wisconsin FFA members and help develop the next generation of agricultural leaders.

“DBA supports candidates who have a proven record of advocating for agriculture and rural communities,” DBA Executive Director Chad Zuleger said. “Ellen’s firsthand farming experience, legislative background and continued leadership in the community make her a strong voice for Wisconsin farmers.”

Schutt’s background and priorities closely align with DBA’s policy priorities, including supporting a strong agricultural economy, maintaining a competitive business climate, strengthening rural communities and ensuring agriculture remains a key part of Wisconsin’s future.

“Wisconsin agriculture benefits when lawmakers understand the realities of farming and the importance of maintaining a strong rural economy,” Zuleger said. “Ellen has demonstrated that commitment throughout her career, and we believe she will be a strong partner for dairy farmers and the broader agricultural community in the State Senate.”
