DANE COUNTY – Dane County Executive Melissa Agard released the following statement regarding the passing of Boys and Girls Club of Dane County (BGCDC) CEO Michael Johnson:
“Michael Johnson was a passionate and tireless advocate for our community. Through his leadership and dedication, he created a legacy that will not be forgotten. His unwavering commitment to the youth of Dane County will continue to have an impact for generations to come.
“Everyone who met Michael came away with an understanding of the intensity, purpose, and passion he brought to his work every day.
“My heart goes out to his family, friends, colleagues, and loved ones during this difficult time. Across Dane County, we mourn this tremendous loss, and we will honor Michael’s life and legacy by continuing the work he cared about so deeply.”
