With Dane County Exec Melissa Agard’s signature on an 18-month moratorium on hyperscale data centers, Wisconsin’s fastest-growing county has joined a widening cadre of communities seeking to hit pause on the developments.
In a release yesterday, Agard said the moratorium will give the county time to evaluate data centers’ impacts and make any needed policy changes.
