Judge earns endorsements from 25 judges across Circuit Court, Court of Appeals, and Wisconsin Supreme Court

MILWAUKEE — Judge Jack Dávila today launched his campaign for re-election to the Milwaukee County Circuit Court, Branch 1, for the April 6, 2027 election. Judge Dávila, first appointed to the bench in April 2020 by Governor Tony Evers, announced his campaign alongside endorsements from 25 sitting judges spanning the Circuit Court, Wisconsin Court of Appeals, and Wisconsin Supreme Court.

“Serving the people of Milwaukee County these past six years has been the honor of my life,” said Judge Dávila. “Every day, I work to make sure that everyone who walks into my courtroom, regardless of who they are or where they’re from, is treated with fairness, dignity, and respect. I’m asking voters to let me continue that work.”

Among those endorsing Judge Dávila is District 1 Court of Appeals Judge Sara Geenen.

“I’ve known Jack for a long time, going back to our years representing workers and injured people across Wisconsin,” said Judge Geenen. “The same integrity and work ethic he brought to that work, he’s brought to the bench. He’s been a thoughtful, fair-minded member of the judiciary, and Milwaukee County is fortunate to have him.”

Before joining the bench, Judge Dávila spent nearly a decade representing workers, injured persons, and people with disabilities throughout Milwaukee County. He served four years of active duty in the U.S. Army following college, stationed in San Antonio, Texas.

Judge Dávila remains active in the community through the Wisconsin Hispanic Lawyers Association. He previously served as a consultant attorney to the Mexican Consulate in Milwaukee, on the board of Voces de la Frontera Action, and as a volunteer with the Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinic.

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Judge Dávila earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his Juris Doctorate from Marquette University Law School. His mother was a public school teacher and librarian and a longtime member of the Wisconsin Education Association Council. His father was a machinist and longtime member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. Judge Dávila lives on Milwaukee’s East Side with his family.
