The DCCC released a new TV ad in the race for WI-03, “Carries Water,” highlighting Derrick Van Orden’s loyalty to special interests over Wisconsinites.
The ad shows Rebecca Cooke speaking with union members about how Van Orden sides with Washington instead of Wisconsin – cutting health care to fund the Iran War and taking money from the special interests – in contrast with how Rebecca was born and raised in WI-03 and puts Wisconsin first.
Union member to Rebecca: “I like the fact that you grew up right up the road here and that, I think that means something to a lot of people in this district.”
The ad – the third to run in WI-03 from the DCCC and the Cooke campaign – is airing in La Crosse, Wausau, Minneapolis, and Madison beginning today and is part of the committee’s coordinated spending in key battleground districts.

Union member: “Where’s this money coming from?”
Rebecca Cooke: “Yeah. Look, I mean, Derek Van Orden carries water for the ultra elite in Washington.
“They’re cutting healthcare to pay for a war in Iran that nobody voted for.
“Van Orden, he’s been lining his pockets with special interest dollars his whole time that he’s been in Congress and we need someone that’s gonna fight for working families and our retirees here in West Central Wisconsin. We deserve better.”
