Center Township – Christopher Dean, an Independent from Center Township, today announced his candidacy for the Wisconsin State Senate. Christopher is a U.S. Army Veteran, father, private sector business leader, and active community volunteer. He promises to bring experience, commitment, and commonsense values to Madison on behalf of the people of the 15th Senate District.

“I learned many important life lessons due to my service in the Army. The most important lesson is to ignore the noise and keep focused on what matters. I’m running to remind our representatives that we are stronger when we work together to empower Wisconsin families and local communities, and to make sure that no parent in our state ever has to make the choice between heat and food for their kids again.” said Christopher Dean.

Christopher served as an Infantryman in the United States Army where he deployed to Iraq in support of the Global War on Terror. Christopher held leadership roles throughout his military career and was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge along with an Army Commendation Medal with device for valor.

Upon his medical retirement from the military in 2010, Christopher and his family relocated to Wisconsin and settled in Center Township. Shortly after his return from the military Christopher took a job in the automotive industry as a Parts Delivery Driver. Within one year his skills at building effective teams led him to management roles within the auto industry. As an automotive parts house manager, Christopher was able to build relationships with local businesses that allowed him to turn a failing business into an industry leader in the area.

On a volunteer basis, Christopher has served as a youth football coach for the Parkview Youth Football program where he mentored youth in football skills as well as being a role model. He also volunteered with the Red Cross to support vital blood drive campaigns.

Christopher lives in Center Township with his fiancé, Chasidy and her son, along with his three daughters.
