WISCONSIN – The latest Marquette Law School poll shows Wisconsinites are increasingly confident in our elections (70 percent) and that the November election results will be accurately cast and counted (73 percent). The poll asked both:
- How confident are you that, here in Wisconsin, the votes for president were accurately cast and counted in the 2020 election?
- How confident are you that, here in Wisconsin, the votes in this November’s election will be accurately cast and counted?
The Democracy Defense Foundation – Wisconsin board released the following statement:
“With Election Day rapidly approaching, the Democracy Defense Foundation has been working to highlight the safety and security of our elections in Wisconsin. The new Marquette poll underscores how a growing number of voters have confidence in the process, rightfully so, but it also demonstrates there is more work to be done with nearly 30 percent of voters having doubts. It is incumbent on all of us to continue educating voters on the process and protections in place to ensure Wisconsin election security to reach the rest of the voters who still have doubts.”
The DDF-WI board includes former Attorney General JB Van Hollen, Former Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, Former. U.S. Rep. Scott Klug, and former Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate.
DDF-WI has served as an election resource for two full election cycles now, adding trusted bipartisan voices to the election integrity conversation and being willing to call balls and strikes, regardless of party affiliation.
